Liz Gallo is a new media artist/writer and digital media professional. She studied at Kenyon College and has a masters from NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program before coming to the Telus IEAP. She has worked with Vision, Education, and Media, The History Channel and jazz musician, Teodross Avery. Current projects involve online and social media creation, spoken word performance, audio installations in public space.

She has assisted in the development and implimentation of Social Media Strategy for an upcoming documentary and website, a New York Times’ bestselling book, and a summer music festival. She is also representing and promoting a digital experience boutique and several artists.

In spring 2010, she was one of seven new media residents at the Canadian Film Centre’s Media Lab, where she was part of a team that created a soundscape installation for the Lobby of the MaRS building in downtown Toronto. A second version of this project was part of Toronto’s Nuit Blanche Festival in October 2010.

Having traveled and worked abroad extensively, she now splits time between Toronto and New York City. Her work brings culture, technology, art, and writing under an umbrella of interactivity.

Her personal interests include spoken word, storytelling, video art, music, being a basketball fan and of course twitter.
